About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDipTchg) is a 150-point programme of one calendar year that leads to registration and provisional certification as a teacher in New Zealand. University of Waikato graduates in Initial Teacher Education understand their world, their contribution to the future wellbeing of our society, and the influence that they can have on their learners. The PGDipTchg will allow students to learn at a higher level than the current Graduate Diploma of Teaching (GradDipTchg) and provides a pathway to the Master of Teaching and Learning (MTchgLn).
