What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates will demonstrate a specialised understanding of the central concepts, theories, issues and debates related to the role of science in society. They will demonstrate insight into, and respect for, multiple and sometimes conflicting perspectives on science. They will be able to analyse, critique and reflect on science and science engagement processes; communicate clearly and effectively about science and the science sector orally and through written and visual media; work collaboratively; and manage resources and time on self-directed projects. Graduates will be qualified to work in a range of fields, including science communication, science media, science policy, science-related advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and science management, for private, public and non-governmental science-sector employers. Graduates with very good grades may be able to progress to a PhD.
