Entry requirements
Academic Entry Requirements: There are no compulsory academic entry requirements.
All learners must have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English.
International (onshore) students require a valid visa and insurance to study on the programme and must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5, or equivalent, as required by NZQA Rule 22.
There are no mandatory prerequisites for entry to this qualification.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
This micro credential introduces students/employees to basic human anatomy and physiology in the context of health and wellbeing for support and care. Students will be able to understand the function of human anatomy and physiology within a framework of health and wellness in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The target student market for this micro-credential will be primarily for students, whether domestic or international [onshore], who:
- have limited work experience with healthcare support in the New Zealand healthcare sector, or
- have related experience, or
- are interested to study medicine/healthcare, or
- are planning to pursue healthcare career.
