What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the New Zealand real estate industry with people who have in-depth operational and strategic knowledge to lead staff professionally and ethically; and can lead a real estate business as a principal to ensure compliance within the current regulatory environment.
This qualification is designed for people seeking to become an Agent in the real estate industry.
Graduates will have met the educational requirements and met the licensing requirements will be able to operate as an Agent of a real estate business and supervise licensees under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Academic Entry Requirements. Applicants must have the New Zealand Certificate in Real Estate (Level 5) [NZQA Ref: 3580] or the National Certificate in Real Estate (Branch Manager) [Ref: 1288], or a current, or suspended (within the last three years) , Branch Managers licence. Domestic Language Entry Requirements If English or Maori is the not the applicant's first language, applicants will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent. International English Language Entry Requirements International applicants will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
