What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners of English as an additional language who wish to increase their English language proficiency for employment in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Graduates will have the language skills required to communicate independently and effectively in familiar and some less familiar situations with fluency and flexibility in workplace settings.
This qualification allows employers to make informed judgements regarding the level at which the graduate can use English for employment purposes.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Tauira will be required to take an online placement test and attend a pre-enrolment interview with the kaiako to determine whether the intended programme of study is appropriate to their needs. If they fulfil the required level of English language (approximately 5.5 IELTS band level or CEFR level High B-1 they will be placed in appropriate qualifier considering their needs - tauira intending to work will be placed in employment qualifier.
