What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners of English as an additional language who wish to apply their English proficiency to community and/or employment contexts.
Graduates will have the language skills required to communicate with increasing independence and fluency in community and/or employment contexts.

Minimum requirements
Tauira will be required to take an online placement test and attend a pre-enrolment interview with the kaiako to determine whether the intended programme of study is appropriate to their needs. If they fulfil the required level of English language (approximately 5.0 IELTS band level or B1 CEFR level) they will be placed in appropriate qualifier considering their needs-tauira intending to work will be placed with employment qualifier, tauira wishing to continue with further tertiary studies will study in Academic qualifier and the rest will be placed in general qualifier where they will learn English useful for everyday life social and community contexts.
