What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to operate independently, supervise others and work with stakeholders across the sport, recreation and exercise industries.
Graduates will be able to operate within a framework of health and wellness in relation to individual, group and community needs.
Graduates can apply their skills within the sport, recreation and exercise industries to contribute to the cultural, social and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Minimum requirements
Entry Requirements General Open entry for Domestic students International students: English Language Entry Requirements For the minimum English language requirements refer to the requirements set out in the NZQF Programme and Accreditation Rules https://www.nzqa.govt.nz/providers-partners/qa-system-for-teos/english-internationalstudents/ Applicants must be prepared to sign a form for disclosure of information for the NZ Police. A safety check will be completed to ensure you meet all the requirements as set out in Section 31 of the Vulnerable Children Act. A criminal record will not automatically exclude an applicant from entry to the programme. Applicants with convictions for violence against a person will not be considered. Interview Requirements: N/A Selection Criteria: Applicants will be selected in order of successful application. Exceptions to entry: N/A Credit recognition will be available upon application along with a relevant academic transcript of less than 5 years since last date of attendance. Applicants may be required to do a challenge test. Fees apply. Credit transfer may be available upon application along with a relevant academic transcript of less than 5 years since last date of attendance. No Fees apply.
