What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the civil engineering industry with people who can troubleshoot and evaluate civil engineering testing results and lead a team to ensure quality management of civil engineering laboratory activities and information, which is vital for engineers in the design and quality control of civil engineering projects.
This is a technical level qualification in a specialised area of work. Individuals entering this qualification should possess the knowledge and skills required to work in, or be currently working in, a civil engineering laboratory.
Graduates will be capable of working independently without supervision, in at least one of the following contexts: aggregate, asphalt, bitumen, concrete, field investigations, and soil.
