What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for people who may have some general experience or have a desire to work in the horticulture industry who want to develop their skills and knowledge in a specific horticultural industry sector.
It recognises the skills and knowledge of individuals who can assist with a range of core tasks, under limited supervision relevant to a horticulture industry sector.
Graduates will be able to work under limited supervision with responsibility for work outcomes.
The qualification includes strands that recognise the distinct skills and knowledge for specific horticulture production sectors.

Minimum requirements
Prospective students will demonstrate commitment to study and have an interest in the horticulture industry. Students must have access to a computer and broadband connection. Prospective students must show capability to be supported to successfully complete the programme. This may require one or more of the following: * interview. * capability assessments including literacy, numeracy and communication. * referee check. The programme has approximately 250 hours of simulated and real workplace activities and assessment must be completed in a horticultural simulated and real workplace; therefore, the student must be able to commit to the practical course load prior to admission.
