What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide commercially competent graduates for the joinery sector who are able to operate unsupervised as joiners in specialist or generalist joinery companies. Graduates of this qualification will be able to work to the standards of trade practice for joinery that can provide employers with confidence in the products they manufacture.
This qualification will provide a credential for individuals intending to work or already working in the industry as joiners, that will support their career opportunities across the joinery sector.
The strands in this qualification allow graduates to specialise in areas of joinery such as cabinetry, timber door and window, timber stairs, and bench tops and specialty surfaces.
