These qualifications aim to the support of professional development for early childhood leaders who have high levels of curriculum knowledge, research skills and capacity for leadership advancement. In additional the qualifications aim to engage students interested in advancing the academic, scholarship and research of the field of early childhood education.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Applicants for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education must have a Bachelor degree at Level 7 (360 credits) or higher qualification. Applicants for whom English is a second language and Te Reo Maori is not their first language must provide evidence of an Academic IELTS score issued within the last two years of at least 6.5 overall, 6.5 in writing with no band score lower than 6 or equivalent. IELTS scores may be combined from two tests as long as on one test a minimum of 6.5 overall and 6.0 in each component is achieved.
